Esha criticized for Republic Day post on I-Day, says the account was hacked. Actress Esha Gupta was criticized after a post wishing people ‘Happy Republic Day‘ was shared on her Twitter account on the occasion of Independence Day. Other tweets like ‘Please send numbers waiting’ & ‘Desh humara hai‘ were also shared from her account. The actress later claimed that her account was hacked & wrote, “Finally got the account back in order.”
On the occasion of Independence Day, various celebrities starting from Varun Dhawan, Amitabh Bachchan, Sonakshi Sinha, amongst others posted celebratory wishes on their Twitter handles. One such star was actress Esha Gupta who posted a picture with Republic Day creatives instead of independence Day, & received severe backlash from the social media users.
It all happened when the diva today morning posted a picture on her Twitter that reads, “Ganatantra Divas ki Hardik Shubhkamnaye” [Wishing you all a Happy Republic Day]. The actress seems to have mistaken it for Independence Day, & soon deleted the Tweet while various screenshots are going viral on the internet.

However, the account was restored after a while. “Finally got the account back in order. Thanks to a lot of people who informed me on IG. [P.S-don’t change your password if you get a mail about any suspicious activity on twitter & asks you to change the password as that can lead to hacking],” Esha herself informed.
A series of Tweets followed by, in which she asked the trollers to not teach her as she herself is a daughter of airforce personnel.
“Happy Independence Day.. (thanks for telling an airforce daughter that she knows otherwise) y’all troller is too much,” her last tweet read.
