Actor Tiger Shroff, when asked about working with Hrithik Roshan in their upcoming film, said he is intimidated by Hrithik as he is his idol. “I am facing my hero…I call myself gareebo ka Hrithik Roshan, so there is already a comparison there,” he added. Tiger further said it’s an honour to stand in the same frame as Hrithik.
Tiger Shroff, whose last outing Student Of The Year 2 has been meeting with mixed critical reception, recently opened up about his yet-untitled next project. Directed by Siddharth Anand, who has previously helmed the likes of Bang Bang!, Anjaana Anjaani & Salaam Namaste, Tiger’s next screen outing would also star Hrithik Roshan & Vaani Kapoor alongside him.
In a recent interaction with Hindustan Times, Tiger was all praise about Hrithik, his co-actor to be. On being asked about the much-hyped about dance-off sequence which is supposed to be a part of the movie, Tiger said with a smile, “I am intimidated by him.”
“My next film is my biggest challenge. I am facing my hero… I call myself gareebo ka Hrithik Roshan, so there is already a comparison there (smiles). It’s an honour for me to stand in the same frame as him. We are yet to shoot the dance-off. It’s too hot right now so we have postponed it. But I am both excited & jittery about it,” he added.
On being asked whether or not he would like to explore the web-space, much like his contemporaries, he was quoted by the daily as saying, “Web is a big no for me right now.” “Hats off to the people on the web who are pulling it off so well. There are so many good shows & films that are being made. I have immense respect for the medium but I don’t want to be a part of it right now. Nothing can match the impact of a large screen. When you go & watch a film in the theatre, it has a larger-than-life impact. I love cinema & would like to focus on it for now,” he added.
Speaking of his latest release SOTY 2, he was cited as saying, “We are very grateful for the opening our film has got & are especially grateful to everyone who supported & showered love on our film.”
On the film front, Tiger would also be seen reprising his role of a rebel named Ronnie in the third installment of Baaghi franchise. The film, featuring Shraddha Kapoor as the female lead, is slated for a March 6, 2020 release.
