Speaking at the post-match press conference, England captain Eoin Morgan said the cultural diversity of the players epitomizes the team.
“We had Allah with us as well. I spoke to Adil Rashid, he said Allah was definitely with us. I said we had the rub of the green. That actually epitomizes our team.
“We’re from quite diverse backgrounds & cultures & guys grow up in different countries. To actually find humor in the situation we were in at times was pretty cool,” Morgan said.
However, a few people on social media said England should have celebrated in a way which made Moeen Ali & Adil Rashid comfortable.
